Free Fazaa discount card for UAE families: who qualifies and how to apply before it ends

Resident families with at least one child can get a free Fazaa discount membership until the end of 2026. Here's how to apply in a few steps, and how to make sure you're on the official site.

"How?" That was the whole question under the post, and it's a fair one. Here's the short answer.

What it is

Fazaa is a government-backed benefits programme in the UAE that gives members discounts on groceries, shopping, dining, hotels, travel and leisure. Membership normally depends on where you work.

For the Year of the Family 2026, Fazaa and the Ministry of Family are giving resident families a free Fazaa Discount membership. Expatriate families are included.

Who qualifies

  • You're a UAE resident.
  • Your family has at least one child, a son or a daughter.
  • It's one membership per family, and either the husband or the wife can apply.

The free membership expires at the end of 2026, so with less than two months left, apply now if you want to use it for holiday shopping.

How to apply

  1. Go to the official Fazaa website, fazaa.ae, and find the Year of the Family resident family membership.
  2. Fill in your family details and upload Emirates ID copies for all family members.
  3. Wait for the email confirmation.
  4. Activate your digital card in the Fazaa app.

If you get stuck, Fazaa has a call centre on 600 520 003 to help with registration and card activation.

Make sure it's the real site

A free card is exactly the kind of offer scammers copy. Fazaa's free family membership doesn't ask for your bank card details. If a "Fazaa" page asks you to pay a fee or enter your card number or an OTP, close it. Type fazaa.ae yourself rather than clicking a link from a message or an ad. Is it worth it?

It costs nothing, so if you qualify, there's little reason not to. The savings come from the discounts on everyday spending, which matter most if you shop for a family in the UAE. Treat any money saved as money to put aside rather than a reason to spend more. Even small savings, set aside every month, add up.
